How To Fix Cat Scratches

Simply read these easy to follow directions and your lounge will be like new again in no time at all!

For Minor Scratches.

1 Place a drop sheet or old towel around the couch to be repaired to protect floor coverings. (not supplied)

2 Shake Leather Colour Well.

3 Clean area to be repaired with CouchGuard leather prep thoroughly.

4 Using a cotton dabber, slowly build the colour over the scratch letting each coat dry before applying the next.

5 Repeat until the colour reaches it's desired opacity. Normally about 4 to 5 coats.

6 Clean up with water.

Tip: You may use a hairdryer to help coats dye quicker.

Tip: Leather Colours will always dry darker.

Warning: Always test on a small hidden area before use

For Larger Areas Missing Colour.

1 Place a drop sheet or old towel around the couch to be repaired to protect floor coverings. (not supplied)

2 Shake Leather Colour Well.

3 Clean area to be repaired with CouchGuard leather prep and dry thoroughly.

4 Attach a pick up tube to the mist sprayer then screw onto Leather Colour bottle.

5 Spray Leather Colour onto the area to be repaired. Using the foam brush, slowly spread and build the colour over the area letting each coat dry before applying the next.

6 Repeat until the colour reaches it's desired opacity. Normally about 4 to 5 coats.

7 Clean up with water.

How to blend the colour: After the damaged area is covered, apply two extra coats of Leather Colour (one wider then the other) over the repaired area onto the surrounding leather.

Tip: Leather Colours will always dry darker. Allow to completely dry before altering the colour.

Warning: Always test on a small hidden area before use

Cover Pen Marks.

1 Place a drop sheet or old towel around the couch to be repaired to protect floor coverings. (not supplied)

2 Shake Leather Colour Well.

3 Clean area to be repaired removing us much of the pen mark with CouchGuard leather prep and dry thoroughly.

4 Using a cotton dabber, slowly build the colour over the pen ink mark letting each coat dry before applying the next.

5 Repeat until the colour reaches it's desired opacity. Normally about 4 to 5 coats.

6 To blend the colour, Spray Leather Colour onto the area with the mist sprayer. Using the foam brush, slowly spread and build the colour over a larger area letting each coat dry before applying the next.

6 Repeat until the colour blends in nicely. Normally about 2 coats.

7 Clean up with water.

4 Attach a pick up tube to the mist sprayer then screw onto Leather Colour bottle.

5 Spray Leather Colour onto the area to be repaired. Using the foam brush, slowly spread and build the colour over the area letting each coat dry before applying the next.

6 Repeat until the colour reaches it's desired opacity. Normally about 4 to 5 coats.

7 Clean up with water.
